Presenter Bio: Bob Thomason has been involved in corporate education for over 25 years. He is a partner with Advantage Performance Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of BTS, one of the largest learning and development firms in the world (www.bts.com).  Prior to joining Advantage in 2000, Bob work for several other major human resource consulting firms including DDI, PCI Global and Omega Performance Group. Bob has worked with many national and  regional companies including Bank of America, Ingersoll Rand, RBC Bank, Duke Energy, Coca Cola Bottling Company, Cisco Systems and Network Appliance.  He resides in Charlotte. He specializes in business finance, sales and more recently, sustainability.  Bob is a graduate of NC State University.

Overview: The words “green” and “sustainability” have inundated our news and are now appearing in many corporate annual reports and news releases. Companies have gone from simple recycling programs to more comprehensive sustainability efforts. Companies like WalMart and Google are measuring their carbon footprints and putting solar panels on their roofs. Where is this trend headed? What does it mean for us as learning and development professionals?
